Developing world needs $700 Billion. Gee, I wonder where the money will come from

Filed under: poverty, taxes, economic stimulus — Me @ 21:45

Folks, get ready to send even more of your money overseas. I think most people would be shocked to learn just how much taxpayer money is sent overseas, but it is a drop in the bucket compared to what is coming. Obama is going to make darn sure that wealthy Americans are “held accountable” for all of the needs of the entire world. He is going to take money from wealthy Americans to not only line the pockets of lazy Americans, but also send money to Africa, East Asian, and Muslim nations.

Here is what the World Bank (which is the most misleading name ever. It is a bank funded by America that sends money to the world).

DAR ES SALAAM, March 8 (Reuters) - Developing countries could face a financing gap of $270 billion to $700 billion this year as trade income dwindles and rich nations vie for capital to deal with a global slump, the World Bank said on Sunday.

The World Bank said even at the lower end of that estimate, resources of international institutions would not be sufficient to meet the financing needs as more and more emerging and developing countries are hit.

“There is a therefore a strong need to expand assistance to (lower income countries) to protect critical expenditures and prevent an erosion of progress in reducing poverty,” the World Bank said.

In other words, get out your checkbooks. If Obama thinks that wealthy Americans need to “do their part” to line the pockets of the “poor” in this country, you can bet he will force us to pay for developing nations. After all, the “poor” people in the US would live like kings in these countries. Just more class warfare and hatred of the “wealthy”.

Obama Administration: We will cut pork, just not right now

Filed under: corruption, taxes, obama — Me @ 17:59

So is pork bad, or not? Obama cannot make up his mind. Sure, he made promise after promise after promise that he would eliminate pork, but c’mon! He is a politician! What are promises? Now his Administration is back to making more promises to cut pork, just not right now.

After all, you have to payback the people who got you elected. Nothing like a little pork and pet projects, at the taxpayers expense of course.

The best part of this interview is when Obama’s budget director said that Obama has “little power” over this year’s spending bill…. Uh…. HE IS THE PRESIDENT!!!! He has the ULTIMATE power! It’s called NOT SIGNING THE BILL!

Idiot.

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Facing mounting criticism of a spending package packed with billions of dollars in earmarks, the Obama administration made a vow Sunday: This president will bring a halt to pork-laden bills.

Peter Orszag says it is too late to cut earmarks from the spending bill inherited from the Bush administration.

Peter Orszag says it is too late to cut earmarks from the spending bill inherited from the Bush administration.

“[Such bills] will not happen when the president has the full legislative and appropriations process in place,” Peter Orszag, director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, told CNN’s “State of the Union with John King.”

He argued that the White House had little choice but to support the $410 billion omnibus spending bill, which it inherited from the previous administration. The bill would keep the government running through 2009.

Yea, poor Obama. He just doesn’t have any power or influence right now!

Obama creating “global New Deal” for US to provide financial support to other nations

Filed under: taxes, economic stimulus, obama — Me @ 17:46

Well, we all knew this was coming. In his attempt to be the undisputed King of Earth, Obama is discussing a “global New Deal” which would take money directly out of the hands of US taxpayers and spread the wealth across the world. Because, you see, it is not good enough to simply rob from the rich to support lazy Americans, now we must rob from the rich to support all the lazy peoples of the world.

GORDON BROWN hopes to forge a partnership with President Barack Obama in Washington this week, to call for a “global new deal” to lift the world out of recession.

This story is just starting to leak, and I am certain the liberal media will try to stifle it because they know that most Americans will not support Obama’s plan to globalize the economy and send even more US taxpayer dollars overseas.

Thanks, Obama, for the biggest deficit ever

Filed under: welfare, taxes, liberals, economic stimulus — Me @ 17:15

“Tax the rich”

That is Obama’s plan to fix the deficit. Take money from the “RICH” with one hand and hand it out as welfare with the other.

Newsflash, when you give taxpayer dollars to people who don’t pay taxes, that is NOT a “tax cut”. That is welfare. And Obama is growing the US welfare state like no other. Because the more who are dependent on the government, the more power the Democrats have over us. The best thing for a Democrat is a population dependent on the government.

While America struggles, government sends $900 Million to homicide-bombing Palestinians who hate us.

Filed under: terrorism, taxes, liberals — Me @ 02:27

Wow! What an absolutely-brilliant, totally sane, 100% justifiable use of our taxpayer dollars! I cannot possibly find anything at all disturbing about this!!!!

JERUSALEM —  The United States is preparing to donate more than $900 million for the reconstruction of Gaza, a U.S. official said Monday, as U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton prepared to attend a donors conference for the war-ravaged territory next week. Israeli and Palestinian officials said earlier Monday that Clinton will visit Israel and the West Bank during the first week of March for her first trip to the region as America’s top diplomat.

Clinton said during her Asia trip this month that she would attend an international donors conference in Egypt on March 2 to discuss reconstruction in Gaza.

She provided no other details, but a U.S. official in the United States said Monday that the Obama administration’s donation will likely top $900 million in humanitarian and rebuilding aid to the Palestinian Authority to help Gaza recover from Israel’s offensive against Hamas last month.

Brilliant!

Winners and Losers in the Economic Stimulus Bill

Filed under: taxes, liberals, economic stimulus, obama — Me @ 04:01

This is from CNN. There is really nothing to say. Just look at the Winners and Losers and it really speaks for itself. And keep in mind, this is from CNN… Not exactly a “right wing” spin here….

pork!

Winners

  • High-speed and inner-city rail: Went from $300 million in House bill to $2.25 billion in Senate to $8 billion in final version. There also is a $6.9 billion provision for public transit.
  • Amtrak: Picked up $500 million from both House and Senate versions to total $1.3 billion. The bill stipulates that no more than 60 percent can go to the Northeast Corridor.
  • National Institutes of Health: Ends up with $10 billion in the final bill. The House proposed $3.5 billion and the Senate wanted $10 billion — $8.2 billion goes to the NIH director for his discretion.
  • Government oversight: Board to oversee stimulus bill spending will get $84 million to do the job. House bill allocated $14 million while the Senate bill called for $7 million. There is also more than $100 million more for various inspectors general in different agencies.
  • NASA: Banked just more than $2 billion, including $400,000 for science/global-warming research. Video Watch congressional comments on the stimulus bill »
  • Losers

    • Veterans: Nearly all items for Veterans Affairs were reduced and the $2 billion the Senate wanted for VA construction was wiped out altogether. The VA did get one thing: $1 billion for medical facilities renovation and retooling.
    • Military construction: Cut and put into a general pot, a change from targeted money for each branch of the services. Army construction alone went from $600 million in the Senate and $900 million in the House to $180 million in the final bill. But negotiators compromised over a general military construction fund — the House wanted $3.75 billion while the Senate allocated $118 million and settled on $1.45 billion for all services.
    • FBI: Senate had allocated $475 million but all was cut out of final bill.

Right…… So Veterans, the Military, and the FBI are the “Losers” and NASA’s global warming research, government oversight (whatever the @#%# that means) and trains are the big “Winners.” Says a lot about the liberals doesn’t it?

Oh yea, one more thing. Can someone tell me again how exactly this BS is going to save our economy? Trains? Global Warming research? Government oversight? Boy, these intellectuals really pulled out their A-game to save us, didn’t they!

Economic Stimulus Pork - A Partial List

Filed under: taxes, liberals, economic stimulus — Me @ 01:04

For all of the “change” that was promised, it is politics as usual in Washington. The liberals are using our bad economy to spread fear and threaten us into believing that we have to accept their massive increase in Government spending, or else. Don’t be fooled, this is no “economic stimulus”. This is a massive expansion of government. This is the New Deal, Part 2.

I have said it before, but it is worth repeating. Liberals love a bad economy because nothing is guaranteed to usher in more government spending than a bad economy. Talk about a conflict of interest….

Just in case you aren’t convinced this unprecedented expansion of our Federal government is anything but that, here is just a partial list of the pork and earmarks in this “economic stimulus” bill.

    • $650 million for abandoned mine sites
    • $75 million for the Smithsonian Institution
    • $1.2 billion for summer jobs for youth

    • $850 million for Amtrak

      The List

Great job, Obama. Not even a month on the job and you have already checked out and handed the reigns over to the old-school washington Beaurocrats that you were supposed to “change”.  Not surprisingly, they are doing what they do best -spending our money on crap.

$13 tax cut and new highways… this is supposed to fix our economy?

Filed under: taxes, economic stimulus — Me @ 00:46

New highways… new school buildings for districts that don’t need them… a whopping$13 extra dollars per week on the paychecks of middle-class workers and no real breaks for the upper class workers. Oh, and pork and earmarks out the you-know-what.

      This is their plan?

Geithner is a joke, Obama is a Marxist, and Liberals are Thieves.

Filed under: taxes, liberals, economic stimulus, obama — Me @ 01:11

I don’t know where Obama found his Cabinet members (besides the “Golden Parachute” club on Wall Street). One thing is for sure, we now know why Liberals don’t mind raising taxes - because they don’t pay them! Daschle, Geithner, and the rest are tax dodging cheats. Don’t be fooled; they get away with stuff that you and I would pay dearly for.

This guy Geithner is a fraud and a joke. He has zero credibility and, like his boss, has no qualifications for his job. That was proven today when he layed out his THREE TRILLION DOLLAR plan for the Fed to rescue banks.  The market responded appropriately - by dropping almost 400 points. You see, our stock market is a function of Free Market Capitalism, and Obama’s entire administration are the trojan horse of full-blown Marxism.

virginYou can call it “hope”, you can call it “being responsible”, you can call it “helping those in need”, but the simple fact is that this Liberal administration is ushering in an era of Marxism the likes of which we have never seen. They desire to turn the US into France, Germany, or worse (if such a thing is possible). In the late 90’s under Newt, Conservatives helped lower the government spending to just over 18% of GDP. If Obama and Pelosi and the rest of the Liberals have their way, government spending will represent 40% of GDP. That puts us right in line with the most Socialistic and Marxist nations on earth. And that is what Liberals want.

When you hear about all of this, an intelligent and logical thinker can only come to one conclusion - Liberals benefit from a bad economy. Does that scare you? It should. Talk about a conflict of interest…. It is very true. Liberals want big government, and we are seeing now that nothing stimulates government expansion like a bad economy. The worse the economy, the more government expansion. Liberals have always held the belief that more government is the solution to any economic problem, and they are really putting that into practice now.

“Economic Stimulus”? Please. This is pure, unadulturated government spending. It is pork. It is earmarks.  It is classic, old-school Washington at work. Is this the “change” we were promised? Hardly. Obama keeps claiming, repeatedly, that this “Economic Stimulus” bill has no pork and no earmarks? Really? Well then what about all of the pork and earmarks? Even the AP is calling Obama out on his lies. Obama, in addition to all of his other fatal flaws, is also a pathological liar. He thinks his constituents are dumb, and lucky for him, a lot of them are. Really, really dumb.

Growing up, I was taught that taking money from someone else to keep for yourself or give to someone else was STEALING. When you create a narrowly-defined group that represents only a small percentage of the population (i.e. a “minority group”) and force that group to pay for every fleeting desire of the majority of the population, that is theft. Pure and simple. That isn’t “patriotism”. Even calling it Socialism is being nice. It is STEALING. Period. And it is unfair, unjust, and un-Constitutional to make a few people pay for the needs of the many. For shame on the liberals and the greedy, selfish and ignorant sheep that voted them into power.
