U.S. Attorney General: “Americans are cowards”

Filed under: race, moron, liberals — Me @ 21:53

Our new Attorney General has already disgraced himself. Aren’t broad-based, stereotypical statements the sort of thing that are frowned upon? Like, if I say that Mexicans are lazy, white people are fat, and black people are criminals - wouldn’t that raise a red flag? I hope so!

But our own AG, Eric Holder - the first black Attorney General, goes out and says we are all a bunch of cowards about race.

What a despicable and embarrassing thing to say.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Attorney General Eric Holder described the United States Wednesday as a nation of cowards on matters of race, saying most Americans avoid discussing unresolved racial issues. In a speech to Justice Department employees marking Black History Month, Holder said the workplace is largely integrated but Americans still self-segregate on the weekends and in their private lives.

“Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards,” said Holder, nation’s first black attorney general.

Race issues continue to be a topic of political discussion, Holder said, but “we, as average Americans, simply do not talk enough with each other about race.”

I thought we were all equal? What are you suggesting I do? Call up all my black friends and ask them what it is like to be black? “Uh, hey Mike. How are ya? Yea thats great…. So what’s it like to be black?”

Yea, brilliant idea.

Snobbery is the last refuge of the liberal-arts major

Filed under: opinion, liberals — Me @ 02:24

Here is an excerpt from the best Op-Ed piece I have read in, well, maybe ever!

John McCain’s selection of Sarah Palin to be his running mate set off a fiercely contemptuous reaction. The chairman of the South Carolina Democratic Party said Mrs. Palin’s sole qualification for high office was that she had never had an abortion. The comedian Bill Maher scoffed at the idea that “this stewardess” would be first in the line of succession. The scorn moved The Atlantic Monthly’s Clive Crook to write that “the metropolitan liberal, in my experience, regards overt religious identity as vulgar, and evangelical Christianity as an infallible marker of mental retardation. Flag-waving patriotism is seen as a joke and an embarrassment.”

The denunciation of Palin took place 45 years after William F. Buckley Jr. wrote: “I should sooner live in a society governed by the first two thousand names in the Boston telephone directory than in a society governed by the two thousand faculty members of Harvard University.” From Richard Nixon’s invoking the “silent majority” to Mrs. Palin’s campaigning as a devout, plainspoken hockey mom, conservatives have claimed that they share the common sense of the common man. Liberals—from Adlai Stevenson to Barack Obama to innumerable writers, artists and academics—have often been willing foils in this drama, unable to stop themselves from disparaging the very people whose votes are indispensable to the liberal cause. The elephant-in-the-room irony is that the liberal cause is supposed to be about improving the prospects and economic security of ordinary Americans, whose beliefs and intelligence liberals so often enjoy deriding.

GM Needs $30 Billion to survive

Filed under: unions, corruption, liberals — Me @ 18:22

Well then, that makes it easy.

Don’t survive.

You, and your Union employees, do not deserve one more dime of taxpayer money. Your cars are crap and your workers are overpaid extortion artists.

Good riddance to GM.

Too bad the liberals will never, ever let GM fail. They rely too heavily on Union support to let that happen. So the liberals will bail them out with taxpayer money to buy the Union vote. Don’t believe me? Just wait. They are probably already pulling out the checkbook.

You can read more about the disaster that is GM, but I wouldn’t if I were you. It will only make you mad.

Obama signs “stimulus”. Market drops 298 points.

Filed under: opinion, liberals, economic stimulus, obama — Me @ 16:24

marketWow! Thank goodness that the messiah and his cadre of liberal politicians swooped and rescued us from certain financial disaster! The “stimulus” bill has been signed into law.

There is only one problem - you may fool the majority of Americans because, well, let’s face it - there are a lot of stupid Americans. But you cannot fool the Markets, and the Markets know that this stimulus is nothing but BS Government Spending and European-style Socialism wrapped up in a pretty wrapper called “Economic Stimulus.” It isn’t a stimulus for anything other than the liberal agenda to replace the free markets with more government.

It reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Lisa becomes President and wants to pass a tax increase, but her advisers  caution her that they need to call it something else so that the Americans support it. So they decide to call it a “temporary income adjustment” and everyone loves the idea. Even 10 years ago the writers of the Simpsons understood that if you take a piece of crap and call it something nice, Americans will support it. That is what we have with the “economic stimulus” bill. This bill was probably written 30 years ago when Carter  was President and this is the first chance the Liberals have had to actually pass the thing. It is garbage. It is Socialism. It won’t help the economy (by the liberals own admission) and we will be paying for it for years.

Face it - Liberals need a bad economy. It supports their agenda of forcing more people to be dependent on the government. And the higher the unemployment and the worse the economy, the more people become dependent on liberal programs. So bad economy = good news for Obama and the liberals. You probably wouldn’t like to work for a company that pays the CEO based on how poorly the company performs, but that is exactly what we have with the liberals that are running our country. The worse it gets, the better for them.

Sucks, doesn’t it?

Obama: Fearmonger in Chief

Filed under: opinion, liberals, economic stimulus, obama — Me @ 16:37

Hope? Try Hopelessness. Transparency? Try total secrecy and threats. Leadership? How about caving in to politics as usual. Obama is a failed President. Already. Yes, I said it. I mean, I know we are still giving the guy on-the-job training since he has less work experience than the lady helping you find the pooper scoopers at your local Wal-Mart, but Obama is nothing but a mouthpiece for rhetoric. Now he is touring the nation giving his stump speeches, probably because that is all he knows how to do. Hey Obama, the campaign is over! How about rather than travel around giving speaches you get to the Hill and tell Pelosi it may be wise to postpone her little junked to Rome to, you know, DO YOUR JOB!!!!

But that takes leadership, and Obama is an empty bag of hot air. This piece from the WSJ Editorial sums it up quite nicely.

“President Barack Obama has turned fearmongering into an art form. He has repeatedly raised the specter of another Great Depression. First, he did so to win votes in the November election. He has done so again recently to sway congressional votes for his stimulus package.

[Commentary] AP

In his remarks, every gloomy statistic on the economy becomes a harbinger of doom. As he tells it, today’s economy is the worst since the Great Depression. Without his Recovery and Reinvestment Act, he says, the economy will fall back into that abyss and may never recover.

This fearmongering may be good politics, but it is bad history and bad economics. It is bad history because our current economic woes don’t come close to those of the 1930s. At worst, a comparison to the 1981-82 recession might be appropriate. Consider the job losses that Mr. Obama always cites. In the last year, the U.S. economy shed 3.4 million jobs. That’s a grim statistic for sure, but represents just 2.2% of the labor force. From November 1981 to October 1982, 2.4 million jobs were lost — fewer in number than today, but the labor force was smaller. So 1981-82 job losses totaled 2.2% of the labor force, the same as now.”

Hmmm…. I always thought that the Democrat’s campaigned against using Fear to pursuade people and win support. So much for that idea. “Do as I say, or else!” seems to be Obama’s new slogan.

Winners and Losers in the Economic Stimulus Bill

Filed under: taxes, liberals, economic stimulus, obama — Me @ 04:01

This is from CNN. There is really nothing to say. Just look at the Winners and Losers and it really speaks for itself. And keep in mind, this is from CNN… Not exactly a “right wing” spin here….

pork!

Winners

  • High-speed and inner-city rail: Went from $300 million in House bill to $2.25 billion in Senate to $8 billion in final version. There also is a $6.9 billion provision for public transit.
  • Amtrak: Picked up $500 million from both House and Senate versions to total $1.3 billion. The bill stipulates that no more than 60 percent can go to the Northeast Corridor.
  • National Institutes of Health: Ends up with $10 billion in the final bill. The House proposed $3.5 billion and the Senate wanted $10 billion — $8.2 billion goes to the NIH director for his discretion.
  • Government oversight: Board to oversee stimulus bill spending will get $84 million to do the job. House bill allocated $14 million while the Senate bill called for $7 million. There is also more than $100 million more for various inspectors general in different agencies.
  • NASA: Banked just more than $2 billion, including $400,000 for science/global-warming research. Video Watch congressional comments on the stimulus bill »
  • Losers

    • Veterans: Nearly all items for Veterans Affairs were reduced and the $2 billion the Senate wanted for VA construction was wiped out altogether. The VA did get one thing: $1 billion for medical facilities renovation and retooling.
    • Military construction: Cut and put into a general pot, a change from targeted money for each branch of the services. Army construction alone went from $600 million in the Senate and $900 million in the House to $180 million in the final bill. But negotiators compromised over a general military construction fund — the House wanted $3.75 billion while the Senate allocated $118 million and settled on $1.45 billion for all services.
    • FBI: Senate had allocated $475 million but all was cut out of final bill.

Right…… So Veterans, the Military, and the FBI are the “Losers” and NASA’s global warming research, government oversight (whatever the @#%# that means) and trains are the big “Winners.” Says a lot about the liberals doesn’t it?

Oh yea, one more thing. Can someone tell me again how exactly this BS is going to save our economy? Trains? Global Warming research? Government oversight? Boy, these intellectuals really pulled out their A-game to save us, didn’t they!

Not 1 member of house has read Econ Stimulus bill

Filed under: liberals, economic stimulus — Me @ 16:52

If this does not shock and outrage you, you do not belong in this country. The House has passed the Economic Stimulus package - which is nothing more than a massive increase in the size and power of Government - without even READING THE BILL. Think about it; 1,100 pages of text with less than 24 hours to analyze. Yet they passed it anyway.

    YouTube Video

And now Pelosi is on her way to Rome. She had to make sure the bill got passed before going overseas, so screw reading the thing! Just pass it!

The liberals are a sick and disgusting bunch of Marxist pigs. Shoving legislation down our throats that will bankrupt this country without even bothering to read it.

This is the “Audacity of Hopelessness”.

I live in my car. Give me money!

Filed under: welfare, liberals — Me @ 16:37

i respec you!We all know this country is full of Obama-bots with their hands out and mouths open, but yesterday’s (staged?) request from a homeless lady for a new house and new car has garnered a lot of attention. Apparently this overweight lady…. Yes, the fact that she is overweight IS relevant because the US is one of the few places on earth where our “poor” are overweight…. Anyway, this OVERWEIGHT lady tells Obama that she and her unemployed son need a house and bigger car…. apparently on the taxpayer’s dime.

First, I think this lady was planted. It was just too convenient. Second, if this lady really does need a job, why is she spending her day waiting in line to attend an Obama speech. But then again, you really can’t be surprised when someone who is permanently unemployed has their priorities out of whack…..

So what is the solution? Simple! Raise taxes on the eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevil, hated “rich people” and give handouts to everyone else! After all, if it were not for the eeeeeeeeeeevil, hated, corrupt rich people, we wouldn’t be in this situation, right? That is how liberals think, and sadly that is how most of America thinks these days.

Economic Stimulus Pork - A Partial List

Filed under: taxes, liberals, economic stimulus — Me @ 01:04

For all of the “change” that was promised, it is politics as usual in Washington. The liberals are using our bad economy to spread fear and threaten us into believing that we have to accept their massive increase in Government spending, or else. Don’t be fooled, this is no “economic stimulus”. This is a massive expansion of government. This is the New Deal, Part 2.

I have said it before, but it is worth repeating. Liberals love a bad economy because nothing is guaranteed to usher in more government spending than a bad economy. Talk about a conflict of interest….

Just in case you aren’t convinced this unprecedented expansion of our Federal government is anything but that, here is just a partial list of the pork and earmarks in this “economic stimulus” bill.

    • $2 billion earmark for FutureGen near zero emissions powerplant in Mattoon, IL
    • $39 billion slush fund for “state fiscal stabilization” bailout

    • $500 million for State and local fire stations
    • $180 million for construction of Bureau of Land Management facilities
    • $500 million for wildland fire management
    • $110 million for construction for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
    • $522 million for construction for the Bureau of Indian Affairs
    • $650 million for abandoned mine sites
    • $75 million for the Smithsonian Institution
    • $1.2 billion for summer jobs for youth
    • $412 million for CDC headquarters

    • $850 million for Amtrak
    • $100 million for lead paint hazard reduction

      The List

Great job, Obama. Not even a month on the job and you have already checked out and handed the reigns over to the old-school washington Beaurocrats that you were supposed to “change”.  Not surprisingly, they are doing what they do best -spending our money on crap.

Liberal Schumer: “Americans don’t care about pork”

Filed under: liberals, economic stimulus — Me @ 00:55

And the Douche Bag of the Day Award goes to….. liberal nut job Chuck Schumer for this little foot-in-mouth idiocy:

“And let me say this, to all of the chattering class, that so much focuses on those little, tiny — yes, porky — amendments: The American people really don’t care.”

      Really?
